Our Story

Named after a boy who called them “Vissie Waters.”

Vissie Water Aquaria Lowveld began with a child’s word for fish — and a father pulled into the hobby by his son’s wonder. What started at home has become a space for every aquarist of the Lowveld, and beyond, no matter the setup you keep.

Not only are we an aquatic shop, but we’re here to grow the community and bring fellow enthusiasts closer together. We practice responsible fishkeeping — because we believe fish should thrive, not just survive.

At Vissie Water Aquaria Lowveld, we’re dedicated to top-quality aquatic specimens and a personal, knowledgeable service.

Here’s what sets us apart

• Unwavering commitment to quality and care — every fish, plant and product is selected for its vitality and form.
• Responsible fishkeeping — we believe fish should thrive, not just survive, and it shows in how we keep them.
• Personalised advice and support — guidance whenever you need it, backed by our community of Lowveld enthusiasts.
• Specialised livestock and plant sourcing — and direct suppliers of aquarium driftwood.
